Buraq Automobile (Pvt.) Ltd. is a Pakistani automotive distributor and motorcycle assembler based in Lahore, Punjab. Founded in 2015, the company is the exclusive national distributor for Benelli, QJ Motor and Moto Morini. After operating through the importation of Completely Built Units (CBUs), the company is building a domestic Completely Knocked Down (CKD) assembly plant in Sheikhupura to manufacture motorcycles and scooters locally.

History

Buraq Automobile was incorporated in 2015, simultaneously entering an exclusive distribution agreement with China’s Qianjiang Group to introduce the Italian motorcycle brand Benelli to Pakistan.

The brand officially debuted nationwide with the single-cylinder naked sport Benelli TNT 25 as an imported CBU model. Over the following decade, Buraq expanded its lineup to roughly 12 models across various displacements, with the TNT 150i and 180S becoming its most widely adopted platforms in the local market.

In 2025, marking ten years of operations, Buraq Automobile achieved a milestone of 6,000 cumulative vehicle deliveries across Pakistan. In that same year, the company expanded its brand footprint by securing exclusive distribution rights for two additional motorcycle manufacturers: QJ Motor and Moto Morini.

To transition from vehicle importation to domestic manufacturing, Buraq initiated construction of a dedicated CKD assembly plant in Sheikhupura, Punjab. The facility is scheduled to start commercial assembly operations in 2027, covering the Benelli, QJ Motor and Moto Morini motorcycle lineups.

MotoCulture 2026

Created by Buraq Automobile, MotoCulture Pakistan is an annual platform for two-wheel motorsports, rider safety and custom motorcycle culture. Its inaugural motorcycle show and Time Attack took place on February 1, 2026 at the Vroom Racing Circuit in SA Gardens, Lahore, in partnership with the circuit, marking the beginning of an annual event.
